As a Sage 50 customer, you are entitled to receive the Sage 50 Accounting (version 2018.0). Over the next few weeks, you will start receiving prompts from within your software to install Sage 50 Accounting (version 2018.0).

Increased Capabilities through Integration with Microsoft Office 3651
Through our continued partnership with Microsoft, Sage 50c customers with the Office 365 integration can now set an auto-synchronization schedule to control how frequently Office 365 and Sage 50 are synchronized for more real-time data.

Database Upgrade
To better protect your company data, we have upgraded the Sage 50 Accounting database from 5.6.10 to MySQL 5.7.18 for version 2018.0. As a result of the security upgrade, the database conversion may take longer than previous versions.

Installation
As long as you are connected to the Internet and your service plan is current, the product update will download in the background, and you will be prompted to install it when you exit Sage 50. You will not need to enter a new serial number, key code (activation key), or payroll ID.
We recommend that you agree to install the update as soon as possible to always be working on current software.
The Sage 50 Accounting (version 2018.0) product update will be installed in a new folder, and you can continue to use your previous version. Once installed, you will notice two desktop icons, one for Sage 50 Accounting 2017 and one for Sage 50 Accounting 2018.

For your records, later in October, you will receive an email from Sage with your updated 2018.0 account information. We recommend that you keep this email on file for future reference
CD delivery mail service
If you have paid the annual fee to receive a CD in the mail, your CD will begin shipping the week of October 10. Please allow 5-10 business days for delivery.
